Removal of Japanese Knotweed in Bakewell
On the 24 of July 2015 we were asked to survey an abandoned building for Japanese Knotweed, that was due for demolition. Therefore the removal of Japanese Knotweed in Bakewell was required immediately. We conducted the survey and quoted for the excavation as it would be illegal for the Japanese knotweed to be removed from site and disposed to a normal landfill site.
We were on sight within 24 hours of the enquiry and provided a full site survey and management plan. The council were happy with the plans and asked us to start the excavation of the Japanese knotweed immediately.
This particular method, of treatment, excavation and removal was chosen for this site, as it ensured that the removal of Japanese Knotweed in Bakewell was carried out quickly, enabling the demolition of the abandoned building and further building work to continue with little interruption.
The excavation was a total success, with all the works abiding to strict health and safety guidelines and completed in the time allotted for the job. Following this the the demolition went ahead as planned.
