Surveying
The surveys are carried out by a PCA qualified surveyor and to the RICs guidelines, this forms the basis for all further recommendations on how to eradicate or remove the Japanese knotweed from site.
Treatment
We treat the invasive weed by spraying it with a systemic translocating herbicide which is significantly stronger than herbicides available to the public. This kills both the top of the plant and the rhizome (root). If there are other plants in the area that need protecting then alternatively stem injection can be used.
Monitoring
Following this, monitoring is carried out in year two and if no growth is seen, we monitor for an additional year.
Knotweed Free
Finally, once the site is declared free of any invasive plants, a completion certificate is issued.
Contamination
Please note that soil should not be moved off-site. It may still be classed as controlled waste as it could still be contaminated with dormant rhizome. It should instead be used in landscaping areas where it can be monitored.
Guarantee
Your 10-year guarantee starts once your certificate of completion is issued. We also offer a 10-year insurance backed guarantee as per industry standard.
