Treatment options available include herbicide treatments, excavation and removal or a bespoke option which combines two methods of treatment.
Herbicidal treatments
The most common and preferred treatment method is a herbicide treatment. The best time for Japanese knotweed to be sprayed is when the plant is actively growing as the herbicide we use is a systemic translocating herbicide. The herbicide treatment is most effective on a warm, sunny day.
residential excavation
Japanese knotweed excavation and removal usually occurs when there is not enough time to treat it with a systemic herbicide. Under these circumstances, excavation and removal is the ideal solution.
