Bamboo is a common garden plant, it is fast growing and has a distinctive look. However, the quick growth of bamboo and the pattern the roots grow in, can cause damage to patios, driveways, fence lines and other vegetation in both yours and your neighbours’ garden. Our recommendation is to eradicate all growth of Invasive Bamboo from a site. By excavating and removing the bamboo, this will ensure any traces of the plant are also removed to help prevent it from returning.
Our method of excavation and removal of bamboo in Stockport involves the bamboo would firstly be being cut to ground level. Following this the canes would be disposed of off-site. All of the rhizomes from underground would then be removed and disposed of off-site.

2. Running Bamboo –Â Running bamboo has a root pattern that spreads out widely and is more likely to cause structrual damage to anything located in the surrounding area. The roots from this bamboo are also more likely to cross boundaries. To remove this, we would recommend a more thorough excavation or chemical treatment to eradicate the plant entirely.
